THE STORY
I was in high school home ec. class when my teacher handed me a recipe for a blueberry buckle. I read the directions, "fold in the blueberries?!" I had no idea what that meant. I started making the recipe and all I could remember thinking was what was going to happen when I had to 'fold in the blueberries?!' I didn't want to fail, but I also needed help and I was afraid to admit I didn't understand the recipe. I sat there with a well-mixed batter and a pint full of fresh berries waiting for the answer to show up. It did! Luckily my neighbor didn't know what folding ingredients into a recipe meant either, though she wasn't afraid to ask. I mimicked the motions that my teacher showed her. It worked!! Soon after, I pulled a steaming hot buckle from the oven. That moment my life changed. I knew right then that food would be at the center of my focus from there on out. This flavor is a nod to that moment
WHAT'S IT TASTE LIKE?
This flavor is a lil' roller coaster of flavors and emotions. The base of the ice cream is tart, much like a frozen yogurt. The garam masala blackberries are so unusual yet familiar. They taste like something you have had before, but if you didn't know that garam masala was the spice, your brain would curiously search for the root of the flavor. It is a warming spice in an untraditional setting. Finally, the crunch of the pistachios hit with a bit of spice from the ginger. Overall, this is a quintessential-style Little Fox flavor, where flavor and texture combine to create a totally unique experience.
